I am 56 yo who has had chronic back pain for 20+ years. I had some severe pelvic injuries from a car accident that kind of started the whole pain thing. Over time, I have had natural age related degenerative things going on. Arthritis. Stenosis. I also believe I have EDS, but also mild scoliosis. My pain is a mix of sciatic nerve pain and SI joint pain. There was a lot working against me when it comes to back pain.
I had been seeing a pain doctor and was considering getting a spinal cord stimulator device implanted but I chickened out about it at the last minute. I decided as a last ditch effort to avoid invasive procedures that I would begin a consistent core strengthening regime of exercises, and I had seen Jelly Bend on FaceBook, as well as a lumbar massage pillow, both claimed to help with pain from sciatica. I also decided to try some alternative medicine. Found a chiropractor that does spinal decompression. I started all of it back at the end of Oct 2025. My pain improved almost immediately with the combination of using the massage pillow, jelly bend, and exercise. 20 years of pain gone in less than two weeks.
But because the conditions in my back have not changed, I do still get flare ups. And what used to be only pain shooting down left side, now it sometimes shoots down the right side. Today was one of those instances. I did my morning workout/stretching. I laid on the massage pillow afterwards. But afterwards, I was feeling discomfort on the right side. Something just felt off. I decided to put on the jelly bend to see if it would help. Oh man, instant relief from that discomfort. And as I went about doing house work, I felt like it realigned my pelvis or something and pain was not there anymore. Itโs like magic! Worth every penny!!! I have loved being free from the back pain of 20+ years. I am still pinching myself that this is my new reality!!! And it basically cost less than $100 bucks total. Years of doctor bills for injections and multiple MRIs that could have paid for hundreds of jelly bends. Happy to finally have relief but SO wish I had learned about it sooner!!
We ordered one for my daughter who is 5 ft 9 and has hEDS/POTS/MCAS. She just got it today and put it on right away. She said her back feels more supported and she is finding it easier to have good posture. The increased compression on the abdomen took a bit to get use to but she really likes it. She also is sensitive to fabrics but said it was soft. Thanks!๐
Unfortunately the wrist wraps donโt work for me. The fabric stretches out easily and the way it wraps, it misses the thumb base. Which is where I have the most pain.
I have hEDS and Iโm a bit sensory sensitive. Many compression garments make me itch and are uncomfortable. My jelliebend gives just enough support & is super comfortable. It keeps me together on days I feel like Iโm falling apart. I love it and got it in the blossom color as well.
I ordered this the wrong size first and their communication was awesome. I just received the correct size. Oh my goodness these are made of magic. I have a lot of problems HEDS and a broken back with herniated disc. I put this band on and those problems have disappeared. Not sure where the major pain went and donโt care. I also have a severe problem with other compression items. With other compression items they hurt to put on and hurt to have them on longer than an hour. Iโm crying in pain with other compression items. I have had this on since I received them this morning. No pain at all. Just a warm hug. Will definitely be buying an additional of each. I canโt wait to try them at work. Iโm a nurse. If they pass the healthcare work day I will be spreading the word.
I have EDS, POTS, MCAS and CCI and this has greatly helped with my pain and my air hunger. Wish I would have purchased it sooner.
